Using the Overall Nutrition Quality Index, KIN has conducted multiple research studies assessing program efficacy and consistently finds statistically significant improvements in nutritional knowledge and positive food preference choices. We ran pre-and post-tests before and after the program using a control group. We also assessed nutrition knowledge retention one month after conducting the post-test. We will continue detailed program evaluations and are working with researchers, professors, and medical students on a model to assess nutritional knowledge and food preference changes more accurately.
