Chapter Co-President

Hi! I’m Brisa, a fourth-year Pre-Med student double majoring in Nutritional Science: Metabolic Biology and Latin American Language. Nutrition has always fascinated me as it goes beyond food and plays a vital role in quality of life. I love cooking and incorporating unique ingredients that will make me feel good. I’m grateful that my mom instilled healthy nutritional habits in me from a young age, but I recognize that not everyone has the same opportunities. This is why I was drawn to Kids in Nutrition. My favorite part of our chapter is watching them learn and put our lessons into practice.

Guiding them as they develop these skills is incredibly rewarding, as it empowers a positive and lasting relationship with food that benefits their long-term health.

Katherine Yin

Hi! My name is Katherine Yin and I am a third year majoring in Nutritional Sciences and Molecular and Cell Biology. I joined KIN during my first semester at Berkeley because I love to work with kids and was therefore very drawn to this opportunity to share nutrition ideas with little kids through an interactive and gamified way! One of my favorite parts of studying nutrition is how it explains the human body in aspects so closely connected to our everyday lives. Therefore, I am excited and eager to help continue KIN’s education to help young kids apply ideas of nutrition into their meals and habits in an uplifting way!
